Outdoing Ms. Cheap on getting the best price

One of the MVPs of The Tennessean is columnist Ms. Cheap, who does get out into the real world to provide real-world, cost-saving tips to readers.

But I've gone one step further to save. She recommends canceling your newspaper subscription and just buying The Tennessean once a week at Walgreens for 99 cents. Coupons in the Sunday newspaper would then pay for the cost of the newspaper and more as well. Good info.

But I discovered that if you go to Walgreens on Mondays and buy the Sunday newspaper, you get it for 50 cents. And the same coupons are in it.

When I went into my local Walgreens today, the employee noted that The Tennessean had just delivered more Sunday newspapers by mistake. So I got to take advantage of the 50-cent cost. I hope Ms. Cheap will share this this tip to readers for even more amazing savings.
