Mythbusting: WSMV, Amons show that Crafton claims for EnglishOnly won't save taxpayers a thing

WSMV investigative reporter Nancy Amons exploded another myth put out by Metro Councilman Eric Crafton about his EnglishOnly referendum that Metro Nashville would save $100,000 a year on translation services.

WRONG!

Amons showed that the translation services are required by federal law. That supersedes anything sick and selfish that Crafton can dream up locally. Those services ensure diseases are not spread, justice is served, lives are saved and crimes are reported.

When asked by Amons, Crafton showed the depth of his ignorance, saying he did not know if his plan would even save $5,000. We do know that his vote is costing taxpayers $350,000.

The more that people learn about Crafton and his referendum, the more support it loses. Vote "no" on Jan. 22.
