O'Reilly right in call for Wall Street prosecutor

FOXNEWS' Bill O'Reilly has come up with a good idea: Creation of a special federal prosecutor of Wall Sreet wrongs.

President Bush won't do it. But I hope Sen. Barack Obama would -- as president. He already has called for AIG to return its $37 billion loan from the federal government after sales people were treated to a $400,000 spa retreat.

And O'Reilly rightly called for an investigation of the investment backgrounds and relationships of congressional leaders who pushed the $850 bailout plan -- Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Chris Dodd to start.

The announcement of the creation of a special prosecutor would bring some trust back to the American people of their government. Failure to do so will only ensure a lack of confidence in government to fester and grow.
