The most honest man on Wall Street

If you want to get the unvarnished truth on Wall Street, watch CNBC's Mark Haines from 9 to 10 a.m. daily on CNBC's Squawk on the Street.

The guy is ostracized by many of the show's guests and seldom agrees on big issues with his co-anchor. Still, he is unrelentless and takes fellow anaysts to task with added questioning of their financial lingo and further explanation of their contentions.

Haines frustrates the ""all is clear" cheerleaders on Wall Street. He opposed the bailout. And that makes him most trustable on Main Street.

Still, if you are going to invest, first see a certified financial planner. There is no one-size-fits-all investment advice worth taking.
