U.S. Sen. Barack Obama has taken a double-digit lead for the presidency in the latest poll by CBS News and The New York Times.
CBS said Obama has a 14-percentage-point lead over Sen. John McCain, reaching 53 percent support by voters.
Voters increasingly believe in change, and independent voters are overwhelming going over to Obama. More than 20 percent of voters also view McCain more negatively now than before.
