FOX News is reporting that Republicans in Congress are pushing a federal tax holiday for two months in 2009 to help stimulate the economy.
Democrats counter that the holiday would only benefit the most affluent and bankrupt the country. They want President-elect Obama's economic stimilus plan.
Still, Republicans insist that letting Americans keep more of their paychecks for two months would allow the people to pay debt, keep their homes or buy new goods. And it would be funded with the existing $750 billion bailout program.
What do you think?
